Chasing pavements

Visits after visits to the doctors, money kah-chinged into their pockets and i still dont know what's wrong with me. And more problems seem to be surfacing.

There's no one to tell, friends can only do so much and boyfriend's too busy.
Anyway, i just dont wana bother anyone of them. I dont think its nice.

Sometimes i'd think, why me. The hospital always seem to be a very familiar place.

And with the exams catching up, my year 2 coming to an end, and im going to turn 20 next year, I feel like i havent done anything productive and meaningful.

There's just so much to do, but too little time.

Rehab-rhianna

First of all, i would like to start the post off by saying..

CONGRATS TO CAT AND CK FOR MAKING IT INTO THE SEMI-FINALS FOR TALENT QUEST '08!

I really have to salute you both for having the guts and the balls to perform and be judged infront of so many people. You guys just simply rawk. And babe, never stop trying to pursue your dreams ya. Regardless of how unrealistic your dream may sound to some people. You have my full-on support aite. Just remember me when you really become big! Heh. :D My $2 vote may help you acheive your dreams. Lol.

Anyway, after all the cheering and all, we headed down for the CO concert. They were pretty good i must say. Just that we were really hungry and couldnt wait for the whole thing to end. We were like gossiping and giggling when the whole performance was in session. Lol. But great job guys. Defintely not just another orchestra.

Oh and did i mention Ming kai was in the orchestra too. Haha. Really didnt occur to me that he's the kind who'd play a chinese instrument, let alone the "di-zi". I was pretty astounded when i saw him on stage and couldnt believe it was him till i checked out the namelist of the performers and then double checked again by calling him. Hahah. So cute laa. Great job!

Supper was pffft. Service was really bad and the food suck too. Lao Pa Sa really lack standard. Tsk tsk.

The China virus is spreading. Are we really safe anymore??

Was clearing my mailbox where i stumbled upon an email article sent to me by someone. It was titled "Fried food... MUST READ!" And thinking that it was some health awareness for fried food, i opened it and that second i saw the content of the mail, i was cross-eyed. The whole long chunk of words and paragraphs were in chinese. Not the simpe chinese we learn in school ok ["jian ti zi" that's what they call it]. No, it was in the NON-simplified chinese which is the "fan ti zi". So being curious at how bad/good my chinese really is, i attempted to read the whole damn thing and it took me like 15min just reading like a 2 out of 6 paragraphs. And i skipped many words btw. I had to re-read some of the sentences to at least get the words processed into my head before i actually agar-agar understood what it meant. Lol. I'm quite proud to say that my chinese aint that bad after all. Heh

Anyway, after taking such a loooong time to finish reading and understanding it, the whole email is about hawkers who uses PLASTIC BOTTLES and PLASTIC BAGS as one of their ingredients to FRY their goreng pisangs, curry puffs, keropok, deep-fried chicken wings etc. It is said to be their secret recipe and the melted plastic contents helps keep the fried stuff stay crispy after a long time and add that extra crunch. Ewww.

So now you know what goes into that famous crispy chicken wings or friend yummy crunchy unhealthy stuff that you adore and wonder why it still looks and feels so crunchy after a long while. Its not happening in China if you're wondering where it came from btw. Its right here in Singapore where you think food is always safe with that "A/B" health standard sign hung just right infront of their stall. Not sure where and which hawker centre but yes, it exists. Now chew on this health bite.

I'm defintely not buying and eating fried food from hawker centres except from home anymore. What's wrong with some people nowadays man. Tsk tsk.

you make go OMG HOW?! heh.

Its just so depressing having to hear the alarm ring everyday at 6am and drag my lazy heavy feet to school knowing it'll be another uneventful day. And the thought of how helpless and useless i am in the sense of both studies and relationships (friends & family etc.) just makes sigh and pout 100x over.

Anyway, New Year countdown photos. Pity i wasnt there for the countdown and fireworks. Hmm.. =/
