I have no jist to blog anymore mannnnn.

Okok so right after attachment @ Lonza comes FULL-TIME at The Salvation Army. Pay sucks, but im doing what i love so i guess its worth it. Passion and money just dont go together most of the time. The coming 5 months that i've spent being involved with kids and the "working" environment has made me open my eyes to a few things.

1) I really do have passion for kids. I love interacting with them, i love spending time with them and im willing to do ANYTHING for them.
2) ANYTHING means bathing them, feeding them, changing diapers, cleaning their shit filled asses, clearing their vomit and picking up their shit.
3) Not to judge anyone by first impressions.
4) Not to trust anyone who appears to be kind to you before you actually know the person.
5) Reality bursted my "nobody is THAT mean" bubble.
6) Yup, Passion doesnt equal to Money. And because of that, reality and life sucks.

Ok, so that sums up everything regarding my working experience.

On a heavier note, i just got accepted to the University of Queensland. Commencing in mid Feb but flying over for orientation on the 16th. What an awesome timing. But fortunately, im probably only gona be there for 18 months so its still ok i guess. Cnt say that im looking forward to it, but there's still a tinge of excitement. That small spark mainly because i finally see a tinge of brightness in my future. I was so lost before, uncertain about my ability to grow up and the ability to forge a good future for myself and on my own. Now everything is in my hands now and i hope im wiser this time.

I'll miss him definitely. But this is not the time to be childish. In order for us to grow individually and also as a couple, such seperation is worth it i guess. Anyway it'll only be for awhile. Obviously im psychoing myself. Maybe the true force of reality hasnt hit me yet, but im calm now cos i know we're more than that. :)

Yea it's been long. Again.

Melbourne. Where do i start.
Well, its been a week here now and still another week more to go. Living in the city is really nice. Its like living in Orchard Road. Plenty of shopping, good food; mostly asian, and good weather. What more can you ask for.

Well for the first few days yea i was happy. New place, new environment. But now, it seems like i've been here forever and it makes me kinda miss home, but at the same time also makes me wana get away from it all and start afresh.

Had a really good and long catch up with my sisters the other night; in the toilet- on the topic of boyfriends, future studies, my future and Christianity. We talked for hours taking turns to sit on the toilet bowl and for a moment, i felt as if my life seemed so full of opportunities and open possibilities. There's so much i wana do, wana explore, but yet at the same time there are also many things i dont wana let go.

What do i really want?

I dont know really. Maybe its more of "What is best for me" or " Which is more worth it" perhaps? This may be the toughest crossroads i've ever gona encounter and i dont know what to do and who to go to. How can anybody understand. Its more than what it seems on the surface and to you guys whom i care about and who cares about me, i dont know how to explain this lost and confused feeling.

These few days, i've been thinking alot about everything, and mostly about how my life here has been so far. Yea its fun, driving out to the suburbs, hanging out with my sisters in the city, trying to absorb every inch of it as much as possible in case i were to ever stay here. But its hard when im in-tune with myself, like right now, and find myself wanting to be on the other side of the globe with someone, but feel like it wont be the same anymore if i were to be here. Cos its happening right now. I dont know, maybe im not matured enough for this kinda long distance stuff. Why am i so insecure? Not that there isnt any trust, there's plenty but ....

.. What's the point right.
Oh well, its 2am here alr. Goodnight all :)

FINALLY AN UPDATE!

Lol my last post was on Feb 26th? That long?

Actualy nothing much has changed besides the fact that im currently halfway through my attachment, getting older and growing fatter. Love the people there, o-k with the job, but hate the 8 o'clock mayhem where i always kena stuck in the morning jam cos couldnt wake up at 6. Cant wait to be free again.

I miss my clique, i miss doing FYP, i miss school and i miss mugging for exams! :( Feel as if i wasted my 3 years. I didnt accomplish anything! Never worked hard, never properly establish any good social network, never stayed faithful to a CCA, never fully utilise the school facilities, never involved with school realated activities and omg i just realised, I HAVENT BEEN TO EVERY CORNER OF NP! This is so sad..... I feel old.

And I just realised another thing. Right after June 19th (end of attchment thank God.), im out on my ownnnnnnnn. Havent figured out what's the next step of my life is yet. Study/Work OR Work/Study, Here OR There???? So many things to think about and i've delibrately pushed it all to the last minute cos i truely believed in the chinese term"chuan dao qiao tou zi ran zhi" However, my boat is still seh-ngek! :(

Time flies. I still cant accept the fact that im an adult now. Freaking TWENT-TY this year. I dont wana be stuck doing deskjobs for the rest of my life like what im doing for attachment now. Its horrible! Butt cramps/numbness all the time, squinting in front of the comp screen the whole day. I bet my asticmatism has worsened. I have plans to join my sisters in australia to further my studies cos i know im definietly not gona make it here. But.... I've got so many strings attached here. Depressing, confusing, exasperating. Urrgh :(

HAPPY NEW YEARRRRR :D

Well i'm not exactly that excited and i doubt its gona be a 'HAPPY' New year.

Each year is getting harder and harder to put through.
2008 wasn't as great as 2007, so 2009 shouldn't be as great as 2008 i suppose. =/

After much procrastination, i've finally land myself on a job.
My first F&B job, and currently on my second day proudly as a service crew of TCC!

I've never cleaned a table, never cleared anyone's leftovers, never held a tray full of used cutlery and have never waited upon anyone at all. Today, i've done them all in 5hrs.

Coming from a very very sheltered and fortunate family, these things all seem very foreign and unnecessary to me so downgrading from someone who's always been spoon-fed to my current state now is pretty..... pathetic.

BUT!, i really enjoy my job scope.
I'm sick and tired of people calling me a "DA XIAO JIE". Now i can openly boast that i've cleaned a table before, get my hands dirty from all the cleaning and i'm like everyone else who put in all their energy and sweat just for the mere few wages to survive.

Yes. I have to earn my own pocket money this holidays.

Partly to save up so i can spend more on my Taiwan trip with mummy in case she doesnt wana provide me with all the things that i fancy there.
Make my holidays more worthwhile and not waste them and get fat waist down sitting at home.
Also be able to share the money burden with bf. (He's been complaining ): )
Learn to be independent and get the feel of earning money and the pinch of spending that hard earn money.

So proud of myself. HEEH:DDD

Went durian picking at dad's friend's friend's durian plantation in Malaysia.
Woke up freaking 4am in the morning.
Total harvest 69 durians, a bag full of rambutans and 2 bags full of mangosteens.
ALL HAND PICKED.

Whole extended family came by and shared the joy.
Cousin brought her boyfriend of 1 year along.
Wonder when i can bring mine of coming 4yrs along hmmmmmmm.
My dad was super nice to him laa. No in fact, EVERYONE was nice to him. Kept stuffing him with durians.
Sigh, dont you just love family gatherings. Literally LMAO the whole night.
We cleared 50 durians, 1/4 of rambutans and ALL the mangosteens.
Heaty. Tsk tsk.

FYP has yet again led us to another level of head-aching, perplexing predicament.
And with Eddie Ong on our backs, im currently in a quandary how to keep up with the work loads and demands of being able to produce results and reports on our progress with deadlines almost impossible to meet, and i seem to be the one at the frontline bearing blows after blows.

Stressed, yes. But no one seem to understand and have any empathy on people like us, brushing our complaints and constant cries as a matter-of-fact thing like we should be grateful and what not.

I hate responsibilities.
This may, or is the first time i've ever been independent, doing things on my own, managing and planning everything. I hate every single bit of it. I'm just so not used to fending for myself and making it out there on my own. Too pampered some might say. Without a doubt, yes i must strongly agree. Guess its high time i learnt the harsh reality of life that in due of time, i have to bear more of this "responssiblities" independently, considering that im growing out of my teens and gona graduate soon and supposedly earning my own bread in time to come.

Hopefully soon, i'll find a way to break out of my parents overprotecting shelter and start to mature and grow up abit. That's what cw has constantly bugged me to. Right now what's lacking is the determination and discipline to do my duty as a student and complete and graduate from my course with reasonable grades.

Sigh, that's one big hurdle.

Ok i need some de-stressing so here goes.

Was it last week? Hmm cant remem but anyway, recently my family and i went to sit the Singapore Flyer.
TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT.
Why?

1. Ride takes 30 freaking minutes
2. 5min out of the 30 for taking photographs of like the still constructing IR?
3. 15min chit-chatting among ourselves
4. And the last 10min getting impatient and wondering when isit gona stop

I suggest you spend the $30 on the fish spa which is located in the ferri's building which is more worth it i guess. But its $20++ for 30min? Lol but hey, its an experience. So ticklish :D And by the end of it, you're rewarded with fairly clean, dead skin free feet. I think that's quite a good bargain right there. Heh.

Day ended with a pedicure session and some light shopping therapy. Ahh~....
Ok now back to studying. ):

I guess the resaon why girls love serial dramas, mainly taiwan and korean ones is because, we all wana be cinderella.

You see, majority of us girls including myself, we all want a perfect romantic love life, with an innocent flawless character that everybody envies and fall in love with, and a handsome and rich prince. Or perhaps would really love to try dying in the arms of our fist love and at our last breath, he would shout and cry and moan like the world has come to an end... Awww..

To sum it all, we want to be that damsel in distress.

But as cruel as reality can be, it always snaps back at the wrong moment biting us hard making us all miserable again. So the alternative way, is to turn to all the endless drama serials, and be the queen of the world for once.

Sighh. These shows can really pollute ones' mind.

The first one was awesome and am currently watching the second one which is even better.

Highlight for today:

1. Catched Step Up 2 the streets @ Vivi City.
It was oukayyy laa. Not as good as the first one but not bad still. Girl not exactly hot except for the boobsand the dancing and the guy, CHASE (it's pronounced this way ok.), damn hot cannnn. Bf got all jealous and all. Ahaha. So cute. (im refering to both :D)

2. Drama mama
The usual stuff, shall not elaborate. But all's well after a hug and a few kisses and though apologies werent expressed, having a forgiving heart and da big L (looooove), we forgive and forget. :D

3. Chillin' @ Gloria Jeans
First time stepping into that place. Ordered a chocolate mint drink. Tasted like my mum's herbal tea but he likes it and a plate of beefy pie. Damn full and we sat there for verrrrrry long.

4. Makan @ China Town
Ok so was feeling veryyyy full alr after all the diet coke, popcorn, choco mint and beef pie. But cos we have no where else to go and Singapore is so freakin' boring and seriously lacks entertainment. So we went to do what boring Singapore is famous for. FOOOOOD. Had, according to him, the famous "you ji mian" in China town and it tasted oukayyy lorrrr. Maybe cos was alr full so flavour not as strong. /shrugs. And later on had tang yuan for dessert. So sweet. Got quite a few orh-cee (blue-black) on the head too. :(

5. MRTTTT
Th trip back home was all laughter and all. And, he really made and saved my/the day. :)))

Ok so we finally went to the legendary City Plaza on sat. Was kinda disappointed cos there's no legendary hidden treasure whatsoever as told. Except for the little basket handbag i fell in love with which costs $99. It was really love at first sight. :( Too bad.. Prices there are like damn expensive. Bugis offers a cheaper price for the same thing and the stuff there are seriously chee-na. /shakes head.

Anyway, i got my hair done. Finally. I've been longing for long volumized hair for a loooong time and finally i've got it but, not really as satisfied as i thought i'd be. I miss my short hair now.

Got my endoscopy done today and it was a horrible+terrible+omeegawdly painful experience.

It felt more like an operation than just a scan la.

Was supposed to be sedated and in deeeeeep sleep. But apparently they DID IT when i was just half asleep. I didnt remember seeing anything but i could hear myself screaming and yelling for my mum and pleading them to stop but, was ignored. And i remembered i dugged my nails into one of the nurses. Poor fellow. Lol. I think the whole hospital could hear my shrills and screams.

Only after the whole 'mini' operation i felt the effects of the sedation. zZzz.

Im so gona complain when i get back for my next review.

IF, i were to ever come down with cancer, i seriously hope it isnt colon cancer.

And my ass still hurts.

To start off, i would like to say:
thank you baby!

We had soooo much fun.

Well, at least i did.

For starters, went to his place to rest abit. Baked him cookies till 3am in the morning.

We then shopped for raw food and cabbed down to WCP to enjoy our Valentines' meal.

We had bbq chicken wings (12 ok.), sausages, ONE WHOLE BOTTLE OF CHILLI and chao tah sotong balls that looked no different from the charcoal in the tray, as our romantic lunch cum dinner, PRIMITIVE STYLE (with leaves, twigs and all.)

LOLOL.

And we had lotsa cheap thrill on the way home. Havent laughed so hard together since dont know when. Heh

Wish everyday was Valentines.

Visits after visits to the doctors, money kah-chinged into their pockets and i still dont know what's wrong with me. And more problems seem to be surfacing.

There's no one to tell, friends can only do so much and boyfriend's too busy.
Anyway, i just dont wana bother anyone of them. I dont think its nice.

Sometimes i'd think, why me. The hospital always seem to be a very familiar place.

And with the exams catching up, my year 2 coming to an end, and im going to turn 20 next year, I feel like i havent done anything productive and meaningful.

There's just so much to do, but too little time.
